I think that my mountain setting painting was my most succesful this semester. We took a blank canvis from scratch and painted it by using acrylic paint. We had scetches and photos from online of what our ideal place should look like but then we had to paint it. We used many different techniques with shading, layering, and also mixing colors to get that perfect shade. I think this was my most succesful project as i spent a lot of time on it. It turned out well because i knew what i was drawing and not just going from memory. I like how my mountains have the snow on the tips and how my grass looks real. The clouds were the harderst part but turned out okay. I enjoyed this project and that helps with making it come out nicer.
The value scale drawing at the beggening of the semester i learned the most from was the value scale drawing. Esspecially to (NOT BE AFRAID OF THE DARK) this deals with shading to give it a real life perspective. we also learned how to outline and trace. It was a neat technique with useing the tracing paper. But another important thing i learned is when shading dont look at your drawing look at the photo and make the drawing how it should be and not what it looks like. Also, how to make depth and 3d image with the shading going light to dark. We also learned a neat trick with tracing when you cant pull out any more shapes hold it up to the light and they will all shine through!
The spray paing self portrait project allowed me to grow the most. I really enjoyed it as well. first tracing your slef on the projector with your photo up there. Then you trace out all the color differences and this takes and eye to do from previous projects. You have to have attention to detail. Pick out all the different shapes so when we use the execto knife we could have all the possible colors. Then we built our frame with a wood frame and cardboard background. we then went outside and spray painted them from the back forward. It took time for them to dry and at the end turned out well. For me i then went back and anded white to my background and hair becasue it made me look like i had a afro. This project took many different skills that i have learned throughout the year but in the end turned out great.
I thought the ipad drawing taught the least. Yes, it taught us about electronic drawing. However i like drawing on paper and in the sketch book the best because it makes me feel like a real artist. The ipad is to easy to insert shapes, patterns, or designs. It makes it easy even though they turn out okay. We didnt really learn new concepts other than copy and paste. I think even though this was a fun project we just didnt learn any new concepts that help us through the art world. In the future i think the class should go to art computer lab just not as long.
I think the Zentangle art work reflects the artist the most because when you zentangle you reflect yourself as an artist. We atarted off in our sketch books with working and learning new drawing and freely working. Then we took it to the next step and went on the side walk and worked with clay paint and zentangled on the side-walk. Once we got comfortable with that we moved to the courtyard an were able to do the final step in the courtyard. We zentangled to our hearts content and expressed throught the art of drawing. This was a fun project because you drew how you feel and they also turned out well.

Mine also turned out well i like the snow on the wountain tops

clay sculpture
This is my monster i made out of clay. his name is squishy! He has a nest of eggs he carries on top of his head. One of them has a surprise in them. He has a black eye he got in a fight. with Zach's Rhinunicorn he poked his eye ball out. He has a big nose because he has bad asthma. His legs are strong and make him very fast. His lashing hair attracts all the female monsters and his unicorn head protects him he is very nice and will solve world peace. You should get to know squishy
ZENTANGLESSSSSS
We did a zentangle project this is where you draw crazy design on stuff. we got to do this in the courtyard with clay paint and it was a fun project i thought also came out good.
This is me in the classroom practicing the zentangle
in the classrooom before we went and drew them around school
This is the first wall we worked on in a small group
This is the large scale that our table worked on for a while and it came out nice! i liked this project it was one of my favorites
Force Perspective
We did a force perspective photo. This is where you take a image and adjust what is around to make it look like something it is not. This is a photo i took of what looks like me squishing the sun. This was a fun project becuase you could be very creative with it. Many opertunities and you could use your imagination to the fullest. However it took a lot of timing and patience but was a good project

midterm
I think the spray paint art has taught us the most so far this semester. It taught us to look for the same shade and took the most time day in and day out in this project. we had to build the frame which was fun. Then carve out the differenct layers. After that we had to layer the paper properly so that we build off it to make this wonderful photo. In the end they looked the best and we learned the most from it.
I learned a lot from the value scale drawing esp. (DONT BE AFRAID OF THE DARK) we had to be able to trace our project and then put it on the peper and shade it to make it realistic this was a great way to teach this project and they came out looking good in the end.
Print art
This is one of my favorite projects with a linocut we took our picture we drew in our sketch book shaded it on to the linocut. we then traced out the line by cutting on them. So we then painted over them so when we printed it on the paper it was a reverse painting of our photo. This was a fun project because you focused on the detail over the shading. I think it helped teach us new things

spray paint
We did a spray paint self portrait where we traced ourselfes on a projecter then cut it out using sharp tools. we then layered our pictures on our wood frame we made and layered them from the back up and then spray painted them. We used different colors that clashed together and made this awesome photo.
sketch
In the sketch self portrait project i learned many things. Most importantly while using the mirror to look closley at what you are drawing and draw it with detail. We learned about the proportions between the face. There is an eye length between the eye and your nose is midway between your eyes and chin. There were many other porportions to keep in mind. The most important is shadding and to no be afraid of the dark

Trash Art
This is my groups trash art of a picture with a suspension bridge with water and a sun it is pretty awesome. We used rope for the suspession and a cup and other opjects for the tower then we had a transparent sheet for the water that we colored blue. we hung a circle from the roof by tape and made a sun it was awesome.
value sclae
In this project we worked on our value scale shading skills. I did this by drawing this car. First we found an image with light and dark contrast then we took out all the color differences, this took a while.
Then we transfered it to the tracing paper, after that shaded the back of the tracing paper and then got the outline. After that it was all shading till the final product. I thought this was a good way to see shading and learn how much to apply to make my car.

Rhino
Here I made a photo with a rino taking a walk on Abbey road with the Beatles! I used photoshop to cut the grass from around the rhino then opened a new tab of abbey road and then dragged the Rhino onto the screen and then made him the appropiete size.
Skeleton
Here is a picture of my Chick drawing that is 368% better than my first one. On my first attempt I had a stored image in my head and that is what I drew. You can see how the face is a straight on image and I drew it 2d. In my second attempt I took my time and made it detailed by looking more at the skeleton than the paper. you can see how my skull is from where i was sitting with detailed ribs and back-bones. I focused on the little detailed an espesially proportion of the skeleton. I believe that i did a lot better and i am satyisfied with my improvement but it can always get better.

Kendal Newamial
Here is my skeleton drawing of the lawk newamil. It is a cross between a hawk and a lion. There are different bone structure but my lawk has a spine with a front an back hip bones. It has legs with ball an socket joints and then a thin but sturdy wing. Also has a fracture in the back hip due to a nature fight with a cougar. It has small but sturdy ribs to make to lawk fast on the ground but still aerodynamic in the air! This is that ultimate predator.
